Hunger Games Apple Scene

Watch the scene in which Katniss shoots an arrow into the apple in the pig's mouth during the Gamemakers' feast.  What was the motive behind her actions?  How did this bold act of rebellion affect her in regards to the Hunger Games?  In other words, did shooting the arrow into the apple help or hinder her chances in the games?

  1. She shot the arrow into the apple to get the gamemaker's attention. They thought she was just playing games and wasn't good at shooting, til they saw her shoot the arrow at the feast. This action made her get an elleven. It also made her look rebellious and showed she knows how to take risks.

  2. Katniss shot the arrow into the apple to get the gamemaker's attention. They weren't paying attention when they were supposed to, and they were basically wasting her time. She obviously got frustrated, and shot the apple. Although it was rebellious, it got her an 11 when the tributes were scored. In other words, it definitely did help Katniss during the Hunger Games, helping her get sponsors, and impressing the judges. As well as possibly becoming a threat to the other tributes.
